What is your photography approach?
I photograph with a documentary, heart-forward approach. I hope that doesn’t sound too cheesy, but I do put a lot of love in each of the images I create. For me this means anticipating moments before they even happen, while also acknowledging the tenderness of each moment and not disrupting it. I may set you up in an area with flattering light and am always happy to help with the “what do I do with my hands?” confusion. However, if you’re having a blast with your honey or having a special moment, I’m not going to interrupt that. Anticipating moments like these is where the true magic of the day is for me.
How do I book you for my wedding?
Email me via the contact form on my website and give me all the details. What excites you about your wedding day? What do you want your photos to feel like? Fill me in on location, date, vibes, etc. From there, I’ll send you pricing and schedule either a virtual or in-person consultation. I always love meeting my couples in-person when possible. I’ll send over a proposal after we meet, which requires a 30% deposit to officially reserve your date. Once all of that is completed, you’re all set!
Do you travel for sessions?
Absolutely! Contact me for what you’re thinking and I’ll give you a customized quote for your area. I look up airfare, lodging, and transportation in your area and create the quote based off of those factors. I’ve had the privilege of photographing in Washington State, Oregon, California, Nevada, Missouri, and soon…France!
I do not have travel fees to the Dallas, TX area as it is the place my family and childhood memories reside. :)
When can I expect to receive my photos?
For weddings, full galleries are sent off within 8 weeks. For portrait sessions, galleries are sent within 3 weeks.
Do you shoot film photography as well?
Heck yes I do and I absolutely love it. I shoot with a variety of vintage film cameras. I find film gives each gallery an extra touch of magic. I bring along a roll of film to each portrait session and wedding. Check out some of my film work here.
Where can we order Prints/Albums from?
Each full day wedding package includes a print box because I cannot stand the idea of your most sacred memories only living on your phone. Each gallery also has an online print shop attached so you can order more prints, albums, save the dates, etc directly from your gallery. You can of course use another printing company, but I cannot guarantee the quality. If you’re interested in me designing your album, let me know and I can provide a custom quote.
What is your favorite thing to Bake?
Baklava! It is truly a labor of love. The recipe I use creates so many, which is always a fun surprise to gift my friends. Chocolate cake with homemade whipped cream and strawberry compote is a close second.
