The Riley Building | Austin Wedding Photographer

Rachel and Mark’s wedding day at The Riley Building was absolutely stunning. The entire day felt like a big party in downtown Austin.

For their special day at The Riley Building, Rachel and Mark wanted to be intentional and present for every moment. They structured their day so that the two of them spent as much time together as possible.  Rachel got ready with her bridesmaids in the morning at Milk and Honey Salon - Downtown. She told me how she was excited to relax with her girlfriends and walk to get coffee. Something about walking between locations downtown just felt so fun. The guys got ready at an Airbnb that was near The Riley Building, just a 6-minute walk away. After signing their marriage license with their officiant, Kyle (whose wedding I also photographed if you recognize him), they parted ways to get ready for their first look.

Although they spent a lot of time together throughout the day, Rachel and Mark’s first look was still very emotional and special. It seems as if all the tension of the day dropped and they got to just be present and celebrate each other. They told me they had already read to each other the vows they were going to say at the ceremony, but it didn’t make the ceremony any less emotional. I could just tell how happy everyone was for this couple. The room was full of so much love.

Their reception was so dreamy. The candles and decor were absolutely stunning. The dance floor couldn’t have been more fun. It was nonstop from the very beginning, and these two were celebrated so well! They ended their night with a bubble exit and I had never seen so many bubbles at once in my life. I hugged the couple goodbye and felt so grateful to be there.

This was a wedding that reminds me how special it is to be trusted and loved by my couples. I photographed this day with so much heart because they gave all the kindness and care right back to me. This special day at The Riley Building will forever be one of my favorite days.

If you take anything away from this wedding, remember to always follow your gut. Do what you want on your wedding day and be intentional. Hang out with your friends, keep the stressors at bay, and spend time with loved ones. Your love story deserves to be told as authentically as it is.
