If you love the Vintage Inspired VIBE… this wedding is for you. McKaela and Santos had been together 10 years before they said “I Do” and officially became newlyweds. And every part of their big day felt unique and special. McKaela told me how much fun she had planning all the details. They had a strong appreciation for all things vintage, and their wedding was a dreamland of timeless, romantic vibes. For example, Santosh’s suit was from Vestaire, a vintage reselling website. And Mckaela’s reception dress was a vintage find (and wow, it was gorgeous! Make sure you scroll to see!) Every detail I asked McKaela about, she'd say how she found it on e-bay or stumbled up on it somehow. I was amazed at her vintage sourcing skills.

These two actually started their celebrations with a Hindu wedding ceremony a few months prior, but wanted to spend a weekend with their friends and family celebrating with a bigger reception. They chose Julia Ideson Library in Houston to host their big day.

I photographed their entire weekend and we started it off with a Welcome Party at Santosh's brother's house. Then, the next day, McKaela got ready at the Magnolia Hotel with her close friends. There was such excitement in the air the whole day. You can tell these two have such a strong community of loved ones. It always makes for the most special photographs, and I love to capture these dynamics on a wedding day.

Because they hadn't been able to do personal vows before, they decided they'd say vows in front of everyone as a "ceremony" aspect on this day. It felt so elegant and classy. Mckaela’s dress was from LoHo Bride, and it was absolutely gorgeous.

From their first look, to the quiet last dance and streamers exit - this day was nothing short of magical. I was so honored to be their documentary lifestyle photographer and capture all the little moments they’ll want to remember for the years to come. Congratulations, McKaela and Santosh!
