If you are looking for the perfect place for your proposal in the Texas Hill Country, Enchanted Rock is calling your name. Taylor and Kevin’s Enchanted Rock proposal was a movie moment I will never forget. Between the stunning Texas sunrise and the intimate moment, it couldn’t have been better.

Kevin reached out about proposing to his girlfriend at the top of Enchanted Rock. I immediately knew it was going to be gorgeous, and the perfect place for a surprise proposal. Neither of them had been before, but Kevin told me how it'd be special, as they love exploring national and state parks together. He suggested sunrise because nothing beats a Texas sunrise (and sunset!), and as we all know, hiking in Texas in the summer is no joke! 

I told him I'd hike ahead of them and be ready to photograph them at the peak of the trail. Everything went right as planned and as I made my way to the top, I spotted Taylor and Kevin just about 5 minutes behind me. The anticipation was so intense yet so cinematic. The sun was slowly rising and their Enchanted Rock proposal couldn’t have been more perfect. The most beautiful gradient of colors surrounded them as Kevin proposed to Taylor. The crowds were relatively low, and it felt like we were the only ones in this exact moment at this exact place.

As much as I love the big moments of elopements and wedding days, they all begin with the intimate proposals and surprised faces. I think these moments are so important and intentional, so I always have a special place in my heart for photographing proposals.
