Emily + Brian - St.Louis, MO
If you are looking for an iconic St. Louis, MO, wedding venue, The Jewel Box is beyond stunning. I flew to St. Louis, MO for Emily and Brian's wedding, and it couldn't have been more perfect. Beyond the stunning ceremony location, I was able to visit a few locations for photographs and explore the city. So, if you are dreaming of the perfect place to celebrate your wedding day in St. Louis, The Jewel Box, Union Station Hotel or 612 North are wonderful places to be.
Emily, Brian, and I spent some time the day before their wedding taking a few portraits at the St. Louis Public Library. While we had plenty of phone calls before their wedding weekend, it was nice to slow down and have a moment to meet in person before their actual wedding day.
The wedding day itself was so much fun. We had so many beautiful locations to document their love, and each place was just as breathtaking. It was really important for Emily and Brian to enjoy their day with their friends and family, and have images that truly captured the moment.
While there were many beautiful moments throughout the weekend celebrating these two, Emily and Brian's first look moments were so emotional. Emily first had a first look with her father, with her mother and sisters watching. It was so sweet for everyone. After lots of hugs and tears, Emily got ready for her next first look with Brian. There were lots of happy tears and the excitement for the day ahead filled the air. One of the best parts about doing a first look is that you get a special moment right before the ceremony for just the two of you. You get to spend an extra moment together and really take in the stillness of the moment.
After their first look, we went to Forest Park to take a few wedding party portraits. Emily said this space was important to her as it was where they got engaged. Emily and Brian exchanged their vows in front of all their friends and family. The Jewel Box is a beautiful greenhouse located in Forest Park. The greenery was absolutely stunning and simply breathtaking.
Their wedding was during Mardi Gras weekend, which is a big deal in St. Louis, so the celebrations continued through the entire weekend. To commemorate the weekend, the couple threw beads at the reception and had such a fun night. To make sure they could spend time with each guest, Emily and Brian rode the elevators up from cocktail hour to the reception area with their guests. I thought it was so sweet and thoughtful.
